BOBBY CHARLTON AND KARLA BURNETT IN GREAT WEDDING SENSATION

As those of you who attended Re-union 22 may recall we announced the recent nuptials of popular 2MA member Derek James "Bobby" Charlton and long term partner, Karla Burnett.
Both are strong supporters of 2MA, both with Re-union attendance and donations and we thought it would be a nice gesture to add to their wedding presents with a hand cut crystal vase, which was presented during the course of the evening. This of course is a multi-role present which allows Karla to display all the bunches of flowers Bobby has agreed to give to his wife, unless of course Bobby decides to use it as a beer glass!!
The wedding ceremony did contain a little glitch that could have been extremely embarrassing (that's why we are mentioning it!), and very, very, expensive too, as we shall explain!
As stated earlier Bobby's official Christian names are Derek James. Unfortunately, when it came to Karla saying her wedding vows, and in her excitement on marrying a matelot,
As promised we will not be mentioning that neither wedding ring fitted properly!!
And so you think this is the end of our matrimonial foul up stories? Think again!!

PETE BURNETT IN GREAT WEDDING SENSATION!!!!

No sooner do we have one wedding involving a 2MA member when another hoves into view!, and this matrimonial alliance features none other than Pete Burnett and his partner, Julie.
The master plan - having saved up oodles of dosh - was to have the wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, on August 4th, with an after party in Yeovil in September. With planning like that, surely nothing could go wrong…or could it? Just days prior to departure for Nevada disaster struck! Pete was still married to someone else!
Undeterred, our intrepid (or should it be fearless!) lovers, and having considered the financial implications involved in cancelling the trip, they decided to continue with their plans and set out for Las Vegas, where in lieu of a Wedding service they settled for a Service Of Commitment instead.
Determined to enjoy themselves they then set out on an interstate sightseeing tour including The Hoover Dam, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Pete was particularly keen to visit San Francisco on account it was one of D95's visits during Global 86 (yawn!). Pete didn't see much of San Francisco then, as rumour control suggests he was under pun!!
she transposed the Christian names of her beloved to James Derek!! What's the problem I hear you all chorus?!! Nothing really, except there was a certain James Derek Charlton in attendance!! Bobby's elder son!!! Luckily the celebrant was on the ball, carried out a quick ID card check and ensured Karla ended up with the right husband!
However, one sight he was keen to find was a bar called the Ram's Head. The Ram's Head was in the Tenderloin area of San Francisco near Nob Hill, which is famous for the high volume of daily street crime!! Rumour control further tells the story of a certain Manchester matelot who visited said bar during the ships visit and attempted to trap a six foot tall Grace Jones lookalike tranny!
